The tool kit consists of:

• A 199-page handbook: Youth ARTS Handbook: Arts Programs for Youth At Risk.

1. YouthARTS - The Inspirational Video: Programs for Youth At Risk .
2. YouthARTS - The Instructional Video: Programs for Youth At Risk .

The handbook addresses nearly every aspect of establishing - and maintaining - a program for at-risk youth. It is divided into four chapters:

Program Planning covers all aspects of establishing an arts program for youth at risk - from identifying your community's needs, to forming partnerships with other community agencies.

The inspirational video can be shown to potential funders, supporters, or partners to raise their awareness of arts-based prevention and intervention strategies; a second video supplements the handbook, providing lessons learned: from artists, arts administrators, and juvenile justice staff. The diskette contains sample data-collection forms, contracts, and other materials already in use by the YouthARTS programs.
